About Lisa

I began my journey into the world of nutrition after 10 years in the garment industry but felt unfulfilled . Knowing I wanted to help others, I volunteered for those living with HIV for 6 years. With nutrition, I found y true passion knew working with others to help people live a healthier life was my calling and true passion.   I do not believe in being the “food police “nor do I think there are good/ bad foods only good and better choices. Food is a pleasure in life and one of the few things we have control over. I see part of my role in your nutrition journey is to make sure you are an educated consumer and choosing the best foods for you and your health.   

Approach to care

I believe in a holistic approach to well-being, which includes looking at the person as a whole (mind, body & spirit) this interest led me to further my education and study Ayurveda Nutrition. I use each of these tools, including my exercise and personal training background, to assist my clients in achieving optimal health and wellness. Complete health and nutrition wellness stems from nurturing healthy behaviors to achieve mental and physical health and not engage in food rules, the size you wear or the number on the scale. The Health at Every Size Approach teaches us internal health is not apparent based on our outer appearance.     

Your first session with Lisa

The first meeting will be consist of: A Comprehensive Health Assessment: I'll ask you questions about your health history, any immediate health concerns/symptoms, what you like to eat, how you move your body, and your stress + sleep patterns to get to know you better. A Personalized Nutrition Plan: Including recipe suggestions, products, meal planning and preparation, etc. Nutrition Education: For chronic disease management Food Behavior Support: I'll help you learn to notice trends in your hunger and fullness levels, how they change throughout the day, and how this can affect food choices. Goal Setting: Strategizing and support planning for behavioral modification.
