Approach to care
There is no "one size fits all" in nutrition. Lois looks at all aspects of lifestyle that impact nutrition choices and behaviors and tailors sessions to meet the specific needs of an individual . In Lois sessions, you are partners working together to reach your goals. She strives to create a safe, environment free of judgement conducive to reaching goals. She promotes a weight neutral approach and focuses on shifting mindset from less effective fad diets and nutrition trends to overall healthy eating and behavior change customized to each individual. Lois focuses on guidance that is more than just education, but aims to provide realistic and actionable strategies for each individual.
Your first session with Lois
The first session is an important time to get to know each other and for Lois to learn more about you. Lois loves to start the first session by having you share more about yourself in a relaxed and comfortable format. Lois will review your goals, challenges, lifestyle, medical history, weight as well as nutrition history, eating patterns and challenges/behaviors and any other information you would like to share that you feel is important and would be beneficial for her to know. From here, we will begin working together on next steps toward reaching your goals.
