About Lori
I understand that change is hard. Growing up surrounded by diet culture led me to an unhealthy relationship with food and weight struggles. In my late twenties, I reached my heaviest weight and experienced reflux, bloating, and hypothyroidism. This motivated me to return to school. Through a personality test and a determination to be healthy, I discovered my career as a Dietitian. I thrived for many years. However, in my thirties, hormonal shifts led to endometriosis flares, infertility, and food allergies. Frustration with instructions that only managed symptoms drove my search for answers. I believe food can be used as medicine. By improving gut health and making better food choices, my son and I no longer suffer from eczema, borderline asthma, and stomach pain. I have over eight years as a Dietitian plus five years as a Public Health Nutritionist, specializing in Women’s Health, Weight Management, Renal, Heart Disease, Food Allergies, and Diabetic Management.

Hobbies
At this season of my life, I am fully embracing my inner nerd with a passion for learning. I take great joy in discovering ways to use food as medicine, exploring homeopathic treatments for hormones, gut and brain connection and practicing yoga and stress reduction techniques to calm the mind and support the sympathetic nervous system (fight-or-flight response). Sharing this knowledge with others to help them find their purpose is something I deeply cherish. I am an expert cook who can modify any recipe to address food-related issues. Most of the time, you can find me in the kitchen crafting meals from scratch. When the weather is warm, I love spending time outdoors with my son and husband, fishing, hiking, and gardening.
