About Luella

Nutrition that works in real life — even when life is busy, active, and imperfect. I help people who are tired of rigid food rules and one-size-fits-all advice find an approach to eating that actually fits their lives. Many of my clients are busy, active, navigating changes in their bodies or routines, or simply exhausted by all-or-nothing nutrition thinking. My work focuses on guidance that is evidence-based, flexible, and designed for real life. After years of working with clients in both clinical and private practice settings, I’ve learned that lasting change doesn’t come from doing things “the right way,” but from understanding your body, your life, and what you can realistically maintain — without guilt or pressure to be perfect. I work best with people who want better health and more ease around food, not another set of rules to manage. If you’re looking for rigid meal plans or strict tracking, I may not be the right fit — and that’s okay.

Approach to care

My approach is collaborative, practical, and non-judgmental. Instead of prescribing rigid plans, I help you build awareness, skills, and strategies that evolve as your life does. We can work on weight-related goals, medical nutrition needs, or simply feeling more steady and confident around food — always without diet-culture pressure or all-or-nothing thinking. There is no single “right way” to eat well. My role is to help you discover your way.

Your first session with Luella

Your first session is a working conversation — not a test and not a lecture. We’ll talk through your health history, eating patterns, lifestyle, and goals, but more importantly, we’ll identify what’s been getting in the way and what actually feels doable right now. Together, we’ll start shaping a personalized approach that feels supportive, realistic, and sustainable. Most clients leave their first session with: * clearer direction * less confusion around food * a sense of relief and momentum * a few concrete next steps that don’t feel overwhelming
