About Lydia
Hi, I'm Lydia! I am a dietitian who is passionate about making nutrition more approachable, empowering you as a consumer, and helping to reduce the mental load that food can take up. I grew up in a large family in rural Minnesota, which shaped my understanding of food, health, and community. My Master’s degree in Public Health deepened my knowledge of whole-person care and the many important pillars of wellness. My nutrition outlook and practice is centered in Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size (HAES). If you want to stop stressing about food, I'm your gal!
Approach to care
I approach care with conversation at its core, meeting you where you are and considering all aspects of your life. My practice is rooted in a body-neutral and food-neutral perspective, using gentle nutrition and Intuitive Eating to foster a positive, stress-free relationship with food while sustainably supporting your health and personal goals. We will work on nutrition by addition, and not by restriction! As a compassionate, science-based dietitian, I take the time to talk through all your nutrition questions and concerns in depth during our time together. In adolescents and teens specifically, my specialties are general health, increasing nutrition and cooking skills for life, combatting social media misinformation, disordered eating, emotional eating, binge eating, heart health, and weight concerns.
Your first session with Lydia
In our first session, I’ll ask you a variety of questions to gain a full understanding of your concerns, values, and goals. From there, we’ll identify a focus area and establish an initial set of short- and long-term goals that we can work on and adjust, if needed, in future sessions.
