About Mackenzie
Nutrition and movement have been central to my life, which led me to earn an MS in Clinical Dietetics from Grand Valley State University and practice as an RD. In my first year as a Registered Dietitian, I've worked across sports nutrition with collegiate D1 and D2 teams, clinical and hospital settings, and community health. When I'm not working with patients you'll find me weightlifting, running, hiking, doing yoga, or playing tennis, beach volleyball, and cycling. I love cooking and baking, and I'm passionate about helping active people build practical nutrition knowledge and skills that last.
Approach to care
I rely on current evidence to guide clear, practical recommendations, while honoring your experiences and goals. Care is weight-neutral, focused on behavior and function rather than a number on the scale, and considers sleep, stress, training, and mental well-being. I'll teach the why behind suggestions so you'll feel confident making choices long-term, and we'll set direct, manageable steps together. My style is warm and nonjudgmental, educational, and focused on sustainable change rather than quick fixes.
Your first session with Mackenzie
Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you have. We'll talk through your training, daily routines, eating patterns, and what has or hasn't worked for you. Together we'll translate that information into one to three short-term goals, so you leave with clear, achievable next steps. You don't need to have everything figured out before our visit, just come ready to be honest and curious.
