About Mackenzie
Hi there! I'm Mackenzie, a dietitian based in Pennsylvania, and I'm so excited to get to know you. I'm passionate about helping people use nutrition as a tool to support their goals while still enjoying their lives. I truly believe that food doesn't have to be all-or-nothing, it can help you feel your best while still bringing joy, flexibility, and satisfaction. I understand that working toward health goals can feel overwhelming. There are so many moving pieces: food, activity, work schedules, family responsibilities, and everyday life stress, just to name a few. My role is to help you sort through all of that so your goals feel manageable and empowering instead of stressful or confusing.
Approach to care
I believe the best nutrition plan is one that fits your life. Weâll work together to understand your goals, your routines, and what feels realistic for you right now. If you already have clear goals, Iâll help you break them down into practical, doable steps. If youâre not quite sure where to start, we can figure that out together too. My counseling style is supportive, collaborative, and judgment-free. I meet you where youâre at, whether youâre looking for help recognizing small wins, building confidence around food choices, or having someone to keep you accountable and encouraged along the way.
Your first session with Mackenzie
In our first session, weâll focus on getting to know you. Weâll talk about your goals, your current routines, whatâs been challenging, and whatâs worked (or hasnât worked) in the past. This is a safe space to ask questions, share concerns, and be honest; no pressure and no judgement. Weâll also spend time exploring your bigger âwhy.â This might look like wanting more energy to keep up with your kids or grandkids, feeling more confident in your body, or wanting food to feel less stressful. Understanding what truly matters to you helps guide our work together and keeps your goals grounded in something meaningful to you. By the end of our session, you can expect to walk away with a clear direction and a few personalized, realistic steps you can start using right away. Over time, weâll continue building on those steps so you feel more confident, empowered, and supported in your nutrition journey.
Education
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Health Professions, Temple University. Master of Public Health (MPH) in Nutrition, Temple University.
Hobbies
Outside of work, I love to travel, paint, cook, and stay active in ways that feel fun and fulfilling. I'm also a former Division I lacrosse player, which is what originally sparked my interest in nutrition. Learning how to fuel my body while balancing a busy schedule taught me that nutrition has to be realistic, sustainable, and enjoyable. This lesson still shapes how I work with clients today.
