About Macy
I earned my dual bachelor's degrees at Kansas State University and completed my dietetic internship through University of Oklahoma. I have a background working in clinical nutrition, giving me experience in a wide variety of health conditions and ages. I enjoy outpatient counseling as it gives an opportunity to build relationships with clients, monitor progress, and achieve goals together.
Approach to care
My approach to care is evidence-based, collaborative, and individualized. Each client is unique, so I will take time to make sure that we are tailoring your diet and goals in a way that will work with your lifestyle and preferences. A common goal I have for clients is to find a comfortable balance of eating in the healthiest way for your specific situation, while also enjoying cooking and eating. With each session, we will work on small changes over time in a way that is not overwhelming.
Your first session with Macy
Our first session will mainly be getting to know you, your food preferences, eating habits, and other lifestyle factors that influence health outcomes. We will discuss goals if you have any in mind, or we can develop some together. You will leave the session with one or two things to work on. I may request that you complete food logs if this is appropriate for your situation.
