About Maddie

I’m a registered dietitian who helps adults with type 2 diabetes and those working toward weight loss make changes that feel realistic, enjoyable, and sustainable. I believe nutrition should support your health and your enjoyment of food—not take it away. My goal is to help you feel better now and build habits that support your health for a lifetime. I have experience working in community health, hospital, and outpatient settings, which has taught me how to meet people where they are and tailor nutrition plans to real lives, busy schedules, and individual preferences. My counseling style is supportive, collaborative, and judgment-free. We’ll work as a team, celebrating progress along the way and building habits you can carry with you for a lifetime.

Approach to care

My approach is practical, personalized, and judgment-free. I don’t believe in strict rules or cutting out foods you love. Instead, we focus on simple, evidence-based changes that fit your lifestyle, improve blood sugar control, support weight goals, and feel doable long term. We will work together collaboratively to set goals that feel good and adjust as your needs evolve. If you’re looking for guidance that’s evidence-based, encouraging, and centered around food you actually enjoy, I’d love to work with you.

Your first session with Maddie

Your first session is focused on getting to know you. We’ll review your health history, daily routines, and past experiences with food so I can understand the full picture, not just the numbers. We’ll also talk through how our future sessions will work and what support will look like moving forward. Before we wrap up, we’ll discuss some high level health principles and identify a realistic place to begin, so you leave feeling supported and confident about next steps. The goal of this first session is to lay the foundation so we can really dig deep into what will be most helpful to you in future sessions.
