About Madelyn
Nourishment and connection are such high values of mine and am very passionate about helping others improve their relationship with food through a non-diet, holistic approach. I am currently working on my Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) and have truly found eating disorders to be my niche. I received my Bachelorās in Nutrition from Mississippi State University and Masterās in Nutrition from Appalachian State University, where I gained experience in acute care, long term care, and bariatric settings. I also offer support with pre/post bariatric clients as there are a lot of blurred lines, misleading and harmful information out there!
Approach to care
Main approach and value in nutritional counseling = food freedom! My mission is to be the support and resource for all of your food questions and needs. Yes, I can do meal plans, however, you can expect way more individualized care than just what to buy and eat. I value your story and this is a conversation towards understanding your nutritional needs, accomplishing your ideal self-care routine, and prioritizing health longevity.
Your first session with Madelyn
A lot of getting to know you first and discussion on what you want out of working with a Dietitian. Share any medical/food history and nutrition questions. This is the time we are both assessing first steps in what you want to work on and how I can best support you! Ask me about my love for puns and dad jokes :)
