About Madelyn

Nourishment and connection are such high values of mine and am very passionate about helping others improve their relationship with food through a non-diet, holistic approach. I loveeee food and want to be part of that self healing journey with you! I received my Bachelor’s in Nutrition from Mississippi State University (HAIL STATE!) and Master’s in Nutrition from Appalachian State University, where I gained experience in acute care, long term care, and bariatric settings. I also offer support with pre/post bariatric clients as there are a lot of blurred lines, misleading and harmful information out there! I have experience in OP counseling and IOP group work for eating disorders and have been doing that the last 3+ years. I am currently working on my Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) and have truly found eating disorders to be my niche.

Approach to care

I am just as tired as you, hearing all the toxic diet culture and food judgements, and there is a better way! My approach in nutrition is centered around food freedom! My mission is to be the support and resource for all of your food questions and needs. Yes, I can do meal plans, however, you can expect way more individualized care than just what to buy and eat. I value your story and this is a conversation towards understanding your nutritional needs, accomplishing your ideal self-care routine, and prioritizing health longevity.

Your first session with Madelyn

You can expect in our first session a mixture of questions around health history and goals and what you want out of working with a Dietitian. This whole experience is collaborative work, assessing first steps in what you want to work on and how I can best support you! I don't judge, I listen and we'll figure what works best for you, together. I have heard it all and I'm here to discuss, clear the air, and bring some peace in your mental space around food.
