About Maggie
Maggie McGuire is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist that has been practicing evidence-based, person-first nutrition therapy since 2016. Her passion lies in providing practical approaches to weight loss--whether that be diet, exercise, medications, or weight loss surgery. As a former high school athlete and current high school basketball coach, Maggie also has a passion for sports and performance nutrition in the adolescent and teenage population.
Approach to care
Maggie's approach to care involves developing a trusting, genuine relationship with her clients. She believes in helping clients set realistic, achievable goals that will get her clients where they want to be in their health journey. She will not give blanket, standard recommendations but will instead tailor her recommendations to you and your unique life, circumstances, and goals.
Your first session with Maggie
In your first session, Maggie will spend time getting to know YOU and what YOU want from your session. She will take time to learn about you and your life and what your goals are. She will ask about your current lifestyle and what you would like to achieve before giving her evidenced-based recommendations to get started.
