About Malia
I’m an experienced Registered Dietitian with over 3 years of providing compassionate, evidence-based nutrition counseling and education to a diverse range of clients — with a particular focus on those navigating eating disorders and diabetes. I practice from an All Foods Fit philosophy and proudly identify as a no-diet dietitian. My approach is rooted in Motivational Interviewing, allowing me to meet individuals where they are and support them according to their readiness for change. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space that empowers clients to reconnect with their bodies and build sustainable, individualized relationships with food. I am HAES®-informed, and committed to promoting health and well-being without focusing on weight as a measure of success.
Approach to care
My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for anyone seeking care and support. I believe in working collaboratively — taking a team-based approach where you're always in the driver’s seat, and I'm here as your coach and guide. Just like a coach supports a player in becoming the best version of themselves, I'm here to help you build confidence, navigate challenges, and reach your goals at a pace that feels right for you. Your lived experience, values, and preferences matter — and together, we’ll create a plan that reflects that.
Your first session with Malia
In our first session, we’ll spend some time gathering important background information, including but not limited to: pertinent medical history, current medications and supplements, weight history and any recent changes, digestive concerns and typical eating habits and routines. Once we’ve gone through that, we’ll explore your reasons for seeking support and discuss your personal goals. The most important thing to remember is that I’m here to help — not to judge, pressure, or push any agenda. My goal is to work collaboratively with you in a supportive, safe space where you feel heard and empowered on your journey.
