About Margarete

I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Master’s in Public Health and certifications in Diabetes Care and Education and Lifestyle Medicine. I specialize in chronic disease prevention, management, and reversal, as well as healthy weight management, nutrition for mental well-being, healthy eating across all life stages, and supporting women through the menopause transition. I’m passionate about helping people improve their health through evidence-based, whole food, plant-predominant nutrition that is both practical and enjoyable.

Approach to care

I take a holistic, client-centered approach to care, recognizing that health is influenced by more than food alone. I work with you to create personalized nutrition and lifestyle strategies that fit your medical needs, preferences, culture, and daily life. My goal is to make healthy eating simple, sustainable, and empowering, focusing on long-term habits rather than quick fixes. I emphasize education, collaboration, and realistic goal setting to help you feel confident and supported every step of the way.

Your first session with Margarete

During your first session, I’ll take time to get to know you and all aspects of your health. I’ll review your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and goals, and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together. You can expect a judgment-free, supportive conversation, practical guidance, and clear next steps. Together, we’ll begin building a personalized plan that feels achievable and aligned with your goals, so you leave the session feeling informed, encouraged, and motivated.
