About Maria
Hi, I'm Maria, a Registered Dietitian with three years of experience in clinical and hospital settings. I earned a BS in Nutrition from UNF and a Master of Public Health with a focus in community nutrition from USF, and I’ve built my practice around evidence-based care and empathy. I’m proud to carry MPH, LDN, and RDN postnominals, and I bring a science-forward, people-first approach to every session. When I’m not working, you’ll find me reading, walking, cooking, or hunting for a new cafe to try. I’m here for you.
Approach to care
As we work together, my care is grounded in current science and practical steps you can use day to day. I blend evidence-based guidance with warmth and empathy, meeting you where you are without judgment. My approach is direct and action-oriented, translating research into doable steps, with a focus on sustainable habits that fit your life. I view health holistically, considering sleep, stress, and meals as part of a bigger picture, and I aim to educate so you can confidently make informed choices long after our sessions.
Your first session with Maria
Our first appointment is a warm, judgment-free conversation focused on you. We'll review your medical history and talk through your routines, likes, and challenges to understand what's most important. I want you to feel supported and never pressured. We’ll discuss short-term goals that are realistic and meaningful, and I’ll help you frame a practical plan you can start with this week. You don’t need to have it all figured out before we meet; just bring yourself, and we’ll take it from there.
