About Marilou
Nutrition has been my compass for nearly two decades. As a Registered Dietitian with a B.S. in Food & Nutrition from Cal Poly Pomona, I’ve worked in clinical hospital settings and an outpatient pediatric clinic where I support children and families through growth and chronic conditions like Celiac disease, Diabetes and IBD. I bring CDCES and CSP training to practical, science-based care. When I’m not counseling patients, you’ll find me on my Peloton, cooking up new recipes, or watching my daughters play soccer.
Approach to care
Evidence and compassion guide how I support patients and families. I ground recommendations in current research and proven protocols, while listening without judgment so we can craft plans that fit real life. We’ll focus on clear, actionable steps and sustainable habits rather than quick fixes or restrictive rules. I take a whole-person view, teaching the why behind choices so you gain skills and confidence. Together we create long-term change that honors your health, values, and day-to-day needs.
Your first session with Marilou
When we meet for the first time, we’ll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you can share. We’ll talk through your routines, challenges, and priorities so we can set one or two realistic short-term goals to get started. This conversation is low-pressure and judgment-free, so you don’t need to have everything figured out. I’ll help translate your results into practical next steps, and we’ll leave with a clear, doable plan we’ll refine together.
