About Marilouise
My passion for Dietetics started during my undergraduate degree at University of Colorado Boulder. I studied Psychology and was fascinated by our relationship with food and the individualized journey we all carry. Since becoming a Registered Dietitian, I have now found my self in the space of nutrition counseling, working with all different populations - and loving it. I currently reside in Denver, Colorado and enjoy all the activities outdoors; live music, hiking, park days, and being a foodie! I spend a lot of my free time with my husband, my friends and family in Colorado.
Approach to care
With a background in Psychology, I deeply understand that our relationship with food is both personal and complex. I take a compassionate, individualized approach—meeting each client where they are. I believe that our eating habits are shaped by our early environments, family dynamics, and cultural influences, and exploring this history is often a key part of healing. I specialize in working with individuals who are ready to improve their relationship with food using a non-diet, weight-inclusive, and Health at Every Size (HAES) approach. My goal is to help clients reconnect with their body's needs, rebuild trust in themselves, and move toward a more balanced, sustainable way of nourishing both body and mind.
Your first session with Marilouise
Our first session is all about getting to know you. We'll explore your relationship with food, your health history, current habits, and any goals or concerns you have. I’ll ask about your eating patterns, lifestyle, and the influences that have shaped how you think about food—without judgment. This session is a chance to share your story and feel heard. Together, we’ll begin to identify areas where you'd like support and set a realistic, individualized plan that aligns with your values and goals. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in a non-diet, weight-inclusive philosophy. You can expect a safe, supportive space where you feel empowered to take the next step in your health journey.
