About Marin
Hi, I'm Marin. I'm a Registered Dietitian with five years of experience. I obtained my B.S. in Dietetics from James Madison University in 2020 and completed my Dietetic Internship at Virginia Tech in 2021. I’ve worked in clinical hospital settings and in private practice, helping people put science into practice in their everyday lives. I carry the CNSC credential as I also specialize in nutrition support! Outside of work, I love lifting, cooking, concerts, tending my plants, and hanging out with my french bulldog Potato. I’m excited to meet you and learn your story.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends evidence-based guidance with warmth and collaboration. I believe nutrition is science you can live with, not a rigid rulebook, and I meet you where you are. I also believe that eating is a behavior, and that in order to change our eating habits, we must change the way we think and feel about our behaviors. We'll set clear, doable steps and track progress together, keeping you accountable without pressure. My approach is holistic and weight-neutral, aligned with Health At Every Size principles, focused on sustainable habits that honor your values, culture, and lifestyle. Education is a key part of our work, empowering you to make informed choices while you build long-term resilience.
Your first session with Marin
Our first appointment is about you and your goals. We'll review your medical history, your lab work and biomarkers, explore your relationship with food, and establish short-term targets. We'll help you create a practical meal plan that fits your schedule and tastes, with room to adapt as you learn what works. No need to have everything figured out before we meet; we'll take it step by step in a judgment-free, collaborative space. I'm committed to helping you make lasting changes that feel possible and sustainable!
