About Marisa
Hello! I am a Registered Dietitian in Philadelphia, PA. I have been an RD for 18 years! I started my career working at a hospital for nine years and I currently work full time at an outpatient dialysis clinic in Philadelphia. I have been working with patients on dialysis with kidney failure for 12 years. I completed my Bachelors Degree in Nutrition at Penn State University, and completed my dietetic internship at the University of Delaware. In my free time I enjoy rooting for Philly sports teams. I have two rescue dogs. I enjoy staying physically active. I love traveling and especially going to a beach. I am passionate about helping people improve their health through a better understanding of nutrition. There is a lot of nutrition and diet information out there and it can be overwhelming. It can be hard to determine what is evidence-based. I will provide you with evidence-based nutrition support and work with you to create sustainable and achievable outcomes and goals.

I believe nutrition is not a “one size fits all” but rather should be a fun and empowering experience that focuses on where you’re at and what you want to achieve. Getting to know my patients is a key priority and allows our sessions to flow with open communication in a laid-back environment. We will work on ways to incorporate your favorite foods while achieving your health goals.

I would like to get to know you! A breakdown of your typical day. I want to spend time getting to know you and learn about your health and nutrition goals along with your medical history and lifestyle. We can discuss what has worked for you in the past or what barriers you may have faced. Prepare to answer some questions such as What did you eat? What are your hobbies? Did you cook? What type of physical activity did you do? What is your relationship with food? We will discuss your overall goals to collaborate on creating a sustainable plan to achieve your health goals.
