Hi, I’m Marissa, and I’m a Registered Dietitian who is passionate about helping you achieve your health and wellness goals. With a diverse background in clinical nutrition, health promotion and wellness coaching, I bring a holistic approach to nutrition care. I’m here to be your guide on your health journey-leading with compassion and non-judgmental support-while providing education, practical tools and realistic strategies.

Approach to care

My approach to your nutrition care starts by creating a safe space that is comfortable to share your health and food-related thoughts, feelings, ideas and experiences. It will encompass evidence-based recommendations, education and assistance in developing the necessary tools for your optimal health “tool kit.” Typically, a non-diet, whole foods, plant forward approach will be emphasized. This care model will focus on the importance of establishing a healthy relationship with food, mind-body connection and creating small, but sustainable, lifestyle changes over time. As a team, you and I will partner to develop a personalized plan that will help you reach your unique nutrition goals and find lasting balance in your health and lifestyle. My goal is to meet you where you are at presently. I am here to support, educate, guide and motivate you so that you feel empowered and inspired to accomplish your goals and become the best version of yourself.

Your first session with Marissa

Our first session together will focus on getting to know you. We’ll discuss your health history, eating patterns, food preferences, daily schedules, routines, meals you normally eat, health and nutrition challenges, relationship with food and your goals. This will help me get a clear picture to understand where you are today and how I can best serve and support you along your journey to optimal health and wellness. By the end of the session we will begin to create a personalized and realistic plan that we will continue to build on in future sessions together.
