About Marissa
Hi! I am Dr. Marissa Cloutier, RDN, LDN. I am an award-winning dietitian and an award-winning associate professor of nutrition instruction at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. I am also an eight-time New York Times best-selling author for The Mediterranean Diet (1st and 2nd editions, Harper Torch). I have been educating students and the public with full heart about the wonderful realms of nutrition for nearly thirty years. My main message is this: healthy eating is not complicated whatsoever and fully achievable for all. Itβs simply a matter of looking beyond the many messy mainstream messaging, walking past the plethora of persuasive food labels, and returning to our dietary roots. Once we can get back in this flow, health follows β regardless of any challenging conditions we may find ourselves. The endless research studies repeatedly support this very notion.
Approach to care
My approach to nutrition counseling is fully client centered. You come to me with an entire individualized food history that is acknowledged and respected. Your culinary traditions and customs will be appreciatively used as the foundation of our dietary discussions. We will work as a team to caringly explore your unique relationship with food and the healthful motivational factors that resonate with you. We will find holistic, realistic, and easily attainable dietary and overall wellness solutions to ensure your health goals are met and sustained. I look forward to working with you!
Your first session with Marissa
