About Marissa

Marissa is passionate about helping folks get back in touch with their personal food palate to help them feel their best in body and mind while working towards their health goals. Her diverse experiences in clinical and community nutrition allow her to work with folks in all walks of life. As a mother of two, she especially enjoys helping moms appreciate and nourish their bodies while feeding their families and cultivating a positive relationship with food..

Approach to care

Marissa is committed to creating a safe space to explore how food fits into life from a holistic lens, exploring how movement, stress, and sleep act as levers of health that may shape food choices. She works from a non-diet lens and helps folk identify habits and behaviors that encourage progress towards goals. As a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, Marissa guides her clients in applying the principles of gentle nutrition and intuitive eating. Her goal is to help folks get back to eating with enthusiasm and nourishing their bodies, stop obsessing about food, and make more space for focusing on the things in life that matter most.

Your first session with Marissa

In your first session, Marissa's goal is to learn as much about you, your health history, social factors, lifestyle habits and current health goals. She'll also help you explore your dieting history and and progress towards deeper questions that can help uncover thoughts and behaviors that may be keeping you feeling stuck. Together, you'll work to define a plan of action tailored to your personal needs and goals.
