About Marla

I’m a registered dietitian dedicated to providing evidence‑based, personalized nutrition support that helps make healthy eating both sustainable and enjoyable. My experience spans inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, dialysis units, and long‑term care facilities, giving me a strong foundation in the role nutrition plays across the healthcare spectrum. I specialize in diabetes, prediabetes, PCOS, renal disease, and heart disease, and I’m currently pursuing board certification as a diabetes specialist to ensure I stay at the forefront of the field. Outside of work, I love practicing yoga and spending quality time with my daughter—balance that inspires me to help others build healthier, more balanced lives of their own.

Approach to care

I provide compassionate, patient‑centered nutrition care that meets you where you are. My focus is on helping you build realistic, enjoyable habits that fit your lifestyle and honor your cultural traditions. You’ll always find a supportive, judgment‑free space where progress is flexible and allowed to evolve with your life. Together, we create sustainable changes that empower you to feel confident and cared for along the way.

Your first session with Marla

In your first nutrition counseling session, you can expect a warm, patient‑centered conversation focused on understanding your goals, routines, and cultural food traditions. We’ll explore what feels realistic and enjoyable for you, all within a supportive, judgment‑free space. There’s no pressure to change everything at once—your plan will be flexible, sustainable, and designed to evolve with your life as we work together toward your health goals.
