About Marnie

Marnie has been a Registered Dietitian since 2004 and a Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist since 2015. She has experience in various clinical settings including weight management, diabetes/ endocrinology, bariatric surgery, health promotion and wellness, support groups and fitness facilities. She enjoys helping her patients obtain improved health by setting realistic goals, developing sustainable habits, and gaining confidence in their ability to maintain optimal nutrition throughout their life.

Approach to care

Marnie believes there are many pathways to achieve your health goals. She promotes an individualized and realistic approach to nutrition and wellness, recognizing that all foods can fit, and focusing on the 'progression, not perfection' mentality when it comes to nutrition. Her approach is patient-centered, evidence-based, and judgement-free. Small steps and small changes amount to big results with a little time, dedication, and support (especially from your Nourish dietitian!).

Your first session with Marnie

During your first session, Marnie will be interested in learning more about your lifestyle, health history, including recent labs, food allergies/ intolerances, and medical conditions. She will ask about your current food intake and food preferences, as well as your goals for the session. Together, you will develop a plan geared towards improving your health and nutrition, all while keeping in mind your lifestyle, food preferences, budget, etc. You will have time to ask questions, provide feedback on ideas discussed and ensure you feel comfortable and confident with the plan moving forward.
