About Mary
Mary underwent a profound transformation fueled by her mother's breast cancer and uncle's pancreatic cancer. This led her to shift from a corporate role to studying dietetics with the goal of becoming a registered dietitian. As a graduate teaching assistant at Bastyr University, she translated evidence-based concepts into culinary practices, working with students in the teaching kitchen gaining insights into nutrition and well-being. Today, Mary's true calling is helping individuals make lasting diet and lifestyle changes. Guiding others brings her fulfillment surpassing any corporate achievement. Mary brings experience from hospital, outpatient and virtual private practice settings.
Approach to care
Mary brings a unique, integrative approach to nutrition, focusing on the whole person — including diet, lifestyle, sleep, stress, and physical activity — to create personalized, evidence-based care plans. She works primarily with patients undergoing cancer treatment, cancer survivorship, and cancer-protective lifestyle support, as well as women’s health, menopause, PCOS, and management of food allergies, sensitivities, vegetarian, and vegan diets. Mary takes a weight-neutral approach, supporting patients in achieving overall health without focusing on weight loss. She recognizes the value of nutrition counseling to support pre- and post-natal care, fertility, disordered eating, and weight-loss-focused goals, but does not currently provide services in these areas. She encourages patients with goals in those areas to connect with Nourish RDs who specialize in their needs, ensuring everyone receives guidance best suited to their goals.

After losing her 18-year-old cat, Noodle, in April 2025, she adopted sibling kittens, Francis and Floof, who sometimes make surprise appearances to “assist” during virtual visits.
