About Mary
Hi, I'm Mary, a Registered Dietitian based in Cincinnati, Ohio. My mother’s breast cancer and uncle’s pancreatic cancer drove me to leave my corporate job, return to school and change careers to become a dietitian. I have master’s degree in Occupational Education from the University of Louisville and a master’s degree in Nutrition from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. I take an evidence-based, integrative approach to care – always looking at the whole person. I work with patients to create individualized plans addressing diet and lifestyle. My life’s work is helping people accomplish one of their most important goals – eating foods to promote and restore health.
Approach to care
Leveraging 10 years of experience, my care philosophy is collaborative, evidence-based, and compassionate. I meet you where you are and translate the science into clear, doable steps. We'll set goals with a focus on building healthy habits that endure. I take a weight-neutral, holistic approach that honors your values, routines, and life circumstances. Education is central so you feel confident making choices long after our sessions end. Please be advised that I employ a weight-neutral approach in my practice and do not engage in patient consultations related to weight loss objectives.
Your first session with Mary
Our first appointment is a warm, judgment-free conversation about you. We'll review your medical history and current routines and establish short-term and long-term goals together. You don't need to have everything figured out yet; this is about building a plan that fits your life. We'll discuss what's worked, what hasn't, and what you hope to achieve, setting a clear path with supportive accountability and hopeful momentum.

Hobbies
Daily physical activity (spinning, strength, yoga, walks, hikes and stretches on Peloton), enjoying birds/trees/nature (I live in a 102 year old cozy cottage on an acre and a half of woods), trying new recipes, listening to music, gardening as well as time with friends and family. After losing my 18-year-old cat, Noodle, in April 2025, I adopted sibling kittens, Francis and Floof, who sometimes make surprise appearances to “assist” during virtual visits.
