About Mary

Hi! My name is Mary Kellison, but most people call me MK. I am a Registered Dietitian specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, and intuitive eating. My passion is helping individuals heal their relationship with food and body so they can live with more freedom, trust, and self-compassion. I take a warm, inclusive, and evidence-based approach that blends intuitive eating, mindfulness, and body neutrality. I believe that food is meant for both nourishment and enjoyment. It connects us to our culture, our communities, and ourselves. My role is to help you let go of guilt, fear, and rigid food rules so you can reconnect with your body and find joy in eating again. Whether you’re in recovery from an eating disorder, working through long-standing disordered eating patterns, or simply seeking a more peaceful way to nourish yourself, I’m here to support you with care, curiosity, and compassion.

Approach to care

I believe that healing your relationship with food is about so much more than what’s on your plate. It’s about learning to listen to your body, honor your needs, and build trust in yourself again. Together, we’ll explore a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach that focuses on well-being, flexibility, and self-kindness; not perfection.

Your first session with Mary

Your first session is all about getting to know you. We’ll spend time exploring your relationship with food, your body, and your overall health history in a comfortable, judgment-free space. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out. This is simply an opportunity for me to learn more about your experiences, challenges, and goals so we can create a plan that feels supportive and realistic for your unique needs. Together, we’ll begin to outline what healing and balance could look like for you, setting the foundation for a compassionate, collaborative partnership moving forward.

Education

I attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama for both my undergraduate and graduate program.

Hobbies

Outside of helping people improve their relationship with food you can probably find me outside soaking up the sun on a long walk or while reading a mystery book. You also may find me wandering around the grocery store brainstorming new and fun meal ideas or facetiming my grandma showing her what I cooked for dinner. When I have a little extra time, I love to travel with friends and family and see new things!
