Patient reviews
“Mary takes the time to explain the details but doesn't get lost in the details. She also makes sure that we set goals before the end of the session for things to work on. She's super energetic and truly has a gift for helping people out. She seems to truly enjoy her work. I am learning a whole different way of eating. “

About Mary
Mary became a dietitian during the COVID-19 pandemic. Soon after, she launched her virtual nutrition counseling business, seeing a need for more accessible nutrition care during the shutdown. Mary focuses on plant-based/vegetarian/vegan diets, disordered eating, and general health. Mary considers herself as a Health at Every Size (HAES) dietitian.
Approach to care
Through scientific and behavioral-backed “Intuitive Eating,” Mary approaches food and eating holistically, focusing on support systems, goal-setting, and accountability so her clients can reach their optimal physical, mental, and social health. Mary’s patients are diverse in age, background, and gender identity, as she understands that everybody’s health journey is unique, and she tailors her work towards suiting her patients’ individualistic needs.
Your first session with Mary
Mary see patients as humans first. Calling herself her patients’ “Nutrition Ally,” Mary builds rapport quickly, knowing that trust is key to a strong partnership and successful outcomes. Mary also asks many questions about overall health and motivations to get a clear understanding of her patients. By the end of their first sessions, patients will set at least one tangible goal to tackle between then and the next session. In follow-ups, patients share their goal updates, including what went well, what barriers may have gotten in the way to achieving it, and how to make goals more resilient for life’s ups and downs. Mary’s typical working hours are M–F from 8a–4p MDT.
