Patient reviews

  • Mary was very attentive and listened to my concerns. We made goals and talked through options; love having her!

  • Mary takes the time to explain the details but doesn't get lost in the details. She also makes sure that we set goals before the end of the session for things to work on. She's super energetic and truly has a gift for helping people out. She seems to truly enjoy her work. I am learning a whole different way of eating.

  • Mary is so great to work with. She's encouraging, non-judgmental, open-minded, smart, and patient.

About Mary

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my Nourish page! I became a dietitian during the COVID-19 pandemic. Soon after, I launched my virtual nutrition counseling business, seeing a need for more accessible nutrition care during the shutdown. I specialize in plant-based/vegetarian/vegan diets, disordered eating, and general health. I also consider myself as a Health at Every Size (HAES) dietitian.

Approach to care

Through scientific and behavioral-backed “Intuitive Eating,” I approach food and eating holistically, focusing on support systems, goal-setting, and accountability so my clients can reach their optimal physical, mental, and social health. My patients are diverse in age, background, and gender identity, as I understand that everybody’s health journey is unique, and I tailor my work towards suiting my patients’ individualistic needs.

Your first session with Mary

I see my patients as humans first. I love being your nutrition ally, so you’ll notice that we will build rapport quickly, as trust is key to a strong partnership and successful outcomes. I will ask many questions (but not too many!) about your overall health and motivations to get a clear understanding of you and what matters to you. By the end of your first session, we will set at least one tangible goal to tackle together between then and our next session. In follow-ups, you’ll share your goal updates, including what went well, if any barriers got in the way to achieving it, and how to make goals more resilient for life’s ups and downs. My typical working hours will temporarily shift to occasional evenings and weekends through mid-May 2025.
