About Mary Margaret
I'm a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) who have been practicing medical nutrition therapy in an acute care setting since 2017. My professional background has given me the opportunity to teach survival skills to patients with varying types and degrees of acute and/or chronic illnesses. After 8 years of practice, I'm excited to bring the knowledge I've gained to people beyond the hospital. My mission is to empower people utilizing a behavioral health approach backed by the most current evidenced-based nutrition information so that they can confidently navigate through the world of nutrition in order to meet their long term health goals.
Approach to care
My approach to care is very client-centered. I focus on sustainable long-term behavioral changes and measurable outcomes. Collaboration, empathy, compassion, effective communication, and cultural competency are key factors in my practice. I believe in guiding and empowering clients with the most current evidence-based information so they can build self-efficacy in order to make the best healthcare decisions based on their current situation, needs, resources, and desired outcomes. I am committed to making nutrition accessible, applicable, practical, and sustainable by meeting clients where they're at through personalized nutrition counseling.
