About Matthew

Hi, I’m Matthew, a Registered Dietitian based in Philadelphia. With 15 years of experience across clinical and hospital settings, community health, research/academia, school nutrition, and supermarket dietitian roles, I bring a practical, science-based approach to everyday eating. I earned a B.S. in Dietetics and an A.S. in Culinary Arts from Nicholls State University, and I work with evidence to support real life changes. When I’m not helping clients, you’ll find me with my dog, rollerblading, playing tennis, practicing yoga, or exploring new and old markets. I’m grateful to serve a welcoming, diverse community and to help people become their own health advocates.

Approach to care

My care philosophy is collaborative and lifelong. I rely on evidence-based guidance, translating current science into practical steps you can actually do. I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you feel seen and heard, and we will explore your values, barriers, and goals together. My approach centers on Health At Every Size, focusing on sustainable habits rather than dieting culture. We address the whole person, body, mind, and environment, educating you so you can advocate for your health with confidence.

Your first session with Matthew

Our first appointment is all about you. We'll review your medical history, discuss your goals, and look at any lab work or biometrics you have. This is a low-pressure, collaborative conversation, and you do not need to have everything figured out before we meet. We'll explore what has helped you before and what you want to achieve, then set 1 to 2 realistic short-term goals to guide our next steps together.
