About Maureen
Maureen has worked with cancer patients over the last 5+ years, helping them through some tough journeys and transitions with them into recovery. They work together to find normalcy in balancing diet, movement, and intentional physical activity. She has a passion for helping people feel their best through balanced, sustainable nutrition. She believes food should nourish both the body and mind, and she takes a personalized, realistic approach to help clients reach their health goals without stress or restriction. She spends time "shopping the seasons," when she can. Deer hunting a green field, seafood trawling, fishing waterways, and visiting local you-pick farms. She enjoys the true flavor of fruit that has been picked close to peak harvest time. One of her favorite places to visit on vacation is the local farmers market and thrift stores. She deeply values time spent with family.
Approach to care
Maureen's approach is rooted in empathy and education, empowering individuals to make sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes. Whether guiding clients through medical nutrition therapy or helping them develop realistic meal plans, she strives to create a collaborative, client-centered experience. She highly regards this space as a judgement-free platform. Here you will work together to create realistic, sustainable changes. Patients trust her because she takes time to listen, time to understand your day-to-day life, and to create a plan that fits into your life, not around it. She is thorough about using the minutes you have to invest in yourself, to make small goals that have a profound impact on your success.
Your first session with Maureen
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here, taking this first step toward better health with me. Our first session is all about getting to know you - meeting you, where you are. What does a typical day, during the week or weekend, look like for you? We talk about grocery shopping. What's in your pantry, refrigerator, and freezer. These details allow me to create a basic meal plan and grocery list that we adjust along the way. Next we discuss, what does healthy look like to you? We talk about simple tools to remind you of your plan and your success. We discuss a back up plan for goals to keep you on track. During our weeks together, I will provide a level of accountability that you need to keep you, invested in you. The program I have built for my clients empowers them to establish a mindset of self-motivation. By the end of your session, you'll have small actionable steps to start making progress. I am so excited that you are here with me. I am ready to support you on your journey!
