About Maya
Hi everyone! I'm Maya, a registered dietitian with two years of experience in a variety of specialties. I became a dietitian with the goal of advocating for health at every size and helping clients/patients find balance in their nutrition habits! Food is a huge part of our day to day, it has the power to build community, to bond with others and create shared experiences. Food plays a large role in cultural identity and I love to help my clients create a nutrition plan that incorporates their favorite foods. Nutrition is never one size fits all! I can't wait to start working with you!
Approach to care
With so much misinformation online and diet culture becoming more toxic by the day, it can be overwhelming and stressful to figure out how to start meeting your nutrition goals! I aim to make this process as simple as possible through an evidence-based approach. We will move through our sessions with motivational interviewing, active listening, and reflection to accurately assess where you are in your nutrition journey and how to create a path that best fits your goals and lifestyle!
Your first session with Maya
During our first session, I want to get to know YOU! We will go over your current lifestyle and dietary habits, any areas of concerns (allergies, labs, medical history, relationship with food, mental health), and your current goals. I aim to make sure all our sessions are tailored to you, stress-free, and make meeting your goals as easy as possible!
