About Maya

Food and movement have shaped how I practice nutrition, and I bring seven years of experience across clinical hospitals, community health programs, and private practice to every conversation. As an RDN and CDCES with an MS in Obesity Prevention and Management, I use science to guide practical plans you can actually live with. Outside of work you'll find me cooking and baking new recipes or on a dirt bike, reminding myself that health is active, joyful, and doable.

Approach to care

Science guides my recommendations, and empathy shapes how we get there. I combine evidence-based strategies with clear, action-oriented steps so we can make small, sustainable changes that stick. I work from a weight-neutral lens, focusing on behaviors and health outcomes rather than the scale. Together we'll look at the whole person, translate research into everyday habits, and build the knowledge and confidence you need to maintain change long term.

Your first session with Maya

Our first visit is a low-pressure, judgment-free conversation where we'll map out what matters to you. We'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics, talk through your relationship with food, and establish a few short-term, achievable goals. I’ll help you leave with a personalized meal plan and clear next steps, so you feel supported and confident as we begin making sustainable changes together.
