About Mckenna
Hi, I’m Mckenna, a Registered Dietitian with one year of experience. I earned my MS in Medical Nutrition from UNMC and have practiced in a hospital setting. I love translating nutrition science into practical steps you can actually use. Outside of work, you’ll likely find me traveling, practicing yoga, lifting weights, cooking, shopping, or playing pickleball. I’m here to listen, learn your story, and partner with you to build sustainable, enjoyable habits that support your health.
Approach to care
Together we’ll approach care with evidence grounded in the latest science, while staying rooted in your life. I aim to be warm and empathetic, offering nonjudgmental support as we map realistic, action-oriented steps. I practice with a weight-neutral, HAES-inspired framework and focus on behaviors that promote health beyond a number on the scale. My approach values education, transparency, and collaboration so you feel informed and empowered to make choices that fit your day-to-day life.
Your first session with Mckenna
Our first appointment is a conversation about you. We'll review your medical history and current routines, explore your relationship with food, and establish short-term goals together. There is no pressure to have everything figured out yet, just bring your questions and your story. You don’t need to prepare a perfect plan; we’ll listen, adapt, and decide on 1-2 attainable steps to start. By the end, you’ll have clarity about our path and the next steps we’ll take.
