About Meagan
Meagan Cogdill, MS, RD, LDN, is a registered dietitian with a strong background in clinical nutrition and over six years of specialized experience in renal care. Since becoming an RD in 2018, Meagan has worked closely with patients managing end-stage renal disease, diabetes, heart disease, and weight-related concerns.
Approach to care
Her approach centers on sustainable lifestyle changes and evidence-based nutrition, with a strong passion for disease prevention through healthy, balanced eating rather than fad diets. Starting with small changes that can be maintained long term, her goal is to help clients incorporate these into your lifestyle, making them work for you.
Your first session with Meagan
Establish clients’ why and set attainable, achievable goals with them. Will discuss background, history, diet recall, food preferences, lifestyle and schedule, things getting in the way of meeting your goals, and a plan to execute how we will work toward client goals
Education
Master of Science in Food and Nutrition Services and a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics, both from the University of Mississippi. Dietetic internship: Delta State University
Hobbies
Cooking, vacationing/traveling to new and familiar places with my husband, swimming, exercising, spending time outdoors with 2 dogs, and being a mom to her 2 year old daughter
