About Meg
19+ years working as a dietitian. I have been a vegetarian for over 32 years (by choice). I love to cook and experiment with different foods (recipes don't work well for me). I am active and feel like that is a key to staying healthy long term. I also believe that any food can fit into a diet and excluding many foods can hinder enjoyment and long term success. Key is everything in moderation!
Approach to care
I am patient centered when it comes to nutrition. I like to start with reviewing patient's current food intake (likes/dislikes) and make adjustments as needed based on current food choices. I believe in a step by step approach to change, rather than changing everything all at once. A healthy lifestyle should be the focus, so looking at diet plus sleep patterns, stress levels and physical activity are all important for lasting success.
Your first session with Meg
In our first session, I would like to find out about you. What are your goals, what things have you tried in the past, what have you had success with, what hasn't worked for you? Once we establish this, then we can look at lifestyle changes to help with your end goal.
