About Megan

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). I have been practicing as a dietitian nutritionist for several years, first at Augusta Health as an outpatient dietitian and diabetes educator, then at a dialysis center, and now I have the pleasure of focusing on helping people one-on-one via telehealth. I have experience working with individuals with a variety of needs/diagnoses, including: weight loss (or weight release), women's health, gestational diabetes, type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, general diabetes education, diabetes prevention, renal/chronic kidney disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), celiac disease, mild eating disorders, weight gain, and more. I love working with individuals to help them find what works for them. I truly believe that there is no one-size-fits all when it comes to nutrition and the best answers usually come from an engaged partnership between the individual and the dietitian.

Approach to care

I strongly believe in a partnership between the individual and the dietitian. You bring the expertise on you, and with us working together, I believe we can find what works in reaching your goals/desired outcomes. I also believe more in lifestyle changes versus quick fixes. The quick fixes usually just don't last, but lifestyle changes, taken a step at a time, can significantly and positively alter the future outcomes.

Your first session with Megan

In our first session you can expect that we will spend a little time getting to know each other, and I will ask questions to help me better understand you and what you are looking for from our time together. I may ask a lot of questions. :) But that is just because I really care to work with you in a way that is actually helpful, and questions help me to do that. After that, we will dive into addressing the reason you are here, which is unique and personal to you. Thank you, in advance, for being willing to let me work with you.
