About Megan
My Name is Megan Eisenzimmer, Registered Dietitian. One of the first times I heard about a Dietitian was when my Grandfather needed Dialysis treatments. He had diet education given to him by a Dietitian concerning his diet and how it affected his kidneys and overall health. This sparked my interest into the world of food and nutrition and the impact it has on our body, brain and emotions. I enjoy helping others learn about nutrition and discover ways they can begin healthy habits to feel better physically, mentally and emotionally.
Approach to care
I focus on healthy and sustainable changes rather than weight and strict diets. I want to help you learn how to develop habits that will keep your body Healthy and strong. Choices that can keep going that don't feel too restrictive or overwhelming. Small steps at a time lead to change over a long period.
Your first session with Megan
During our first session together I will need to find out all about You! Some things include your eating habits, lifestyle habits (including - physical activity, hydration, sleep and stress), medications, labs and medical history. We may talk a little bit about evidenced based nutrition. We will then go into strategies and goals that will fit your needs and lifestyle. We will discuss short term goals You can start with to help you achieve your long-term goals. From there the goal would be to meet often to continue to build upon the Journey that you have started to a Healthier Lifestyle.
