About Megan
I am a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist with 8 years of counseling experience. My specialty in working with individuals who have chronic gut health issues, disordered eating, weight management concerns, chronic inflammation, and even those who struggle with gut-brain axis issues and are looking for dietary solutions to improve mental well-being. If you struggle with IBS, IBD, poor gut health from yo-yo dieting, chronic bloating, disordered eating, PCOS, or endometriosis I’m here to help. I also love working with those looking to get to their healthy, happy weight without restriction and lean heavily on HAES (health at every size) principles.
Approach to care
I like to use nutrition as a tool to get to the root of your health concerns rather than as a bandaid solution. Together, we'll figure out how nutrition can support your body's hormone function, gut health, energy needs, and even mental well-being so that you can work with your body's natural intelligence, rather than against it. Our modern environment and lifestyles have thrown many of our body's regulatory systems out of whack - let's fix that!
Your first session with Megan
The first session is a time when I like to do a deep dive into my client's history and get to the root of their nutrition concerns. I'll ask lots of diet-related questions as well as other lifestyle questions to get a well-rounded understanding of what roadblocks may be in the way of you feeling your healthiest, happiest self. Once I get a good idea of the main areas we need to focus on, we'll discuss a roadmap to wellness and set the first few goals that are tailored to your specific needs and are sustainable! I want to make sure these are habits you can maintain over a lifetime, not just a few short weeks.
