About Megan
My professional background is rooted in public health and WIC, where I support women, infants, and children through accessible, compassionate nutrition care. I specialize in maternal nutritionâincluding pregnancy, postpartum, and breastfeedingâalong with infant and child nutrition, community health, and weight-inclusive care. Iâm passionate about intuitive eating, an all-foods-fit approach, and helping clients rebuild trust in their bodies. My journey to becoming a dietitian is deeply personal; navigating my own complicated relationship with food led me to the field and fuels my desire to help others find ease, balance, and confidence. Iâm inspired every day by how nutrition influences energy, mood, and overall well-being, and I love empowering clients with tools that support their healthiest selves. I enjoy working with all populations and believe every body can be a healthy body.
Approach to care
My counseling style is warm, empathetic, educational, and collaborative. I meet clients exactly where they areâno judgment, no pressureâand create a safe, encouraging space for them to share their goals and challenges openly. I use a weight-inclusive, HAES-aligned approach and integrate intuitive eating, mindful eating, and an all-foods-fit philosophy. My goal is to help clients feel empowered, not restricted. Iâll listen closely to your needs, provide guidance that fits your life, and help gently steer you toward healthier behaviors while honoring your lived experiences. I believe in celebrating wins of all sizes, offering encouragement, and being your nutrition âhype woman.â We set meaningful, realistic goals together, and I support you in becoming the healthiest, happiest version of yourselfâat a pace that feels right for you.
Your first session with Megan
Our first session is typically 50â60 minutes and is all about getting to know you. Weâll explore your medical history, eating habits, lifestyle, challenges, and goals. I like to use SMART goals to help turn your hopes into clear, achievable steps. I do my best to help you feel comfortable from the startâwhether thatâs beginning with a simple ice-breaker, checking in about how youâre feeling, or reassuring you that itâs completely normal to feel nervous. Everything we discuss stays within a safe, judgment-free space. By the end of the session, youâll leave with clarity about our next steps: what weâll work on together, what you can expect from me, and how Iâll help keep you accountable along the way. We move at your pace, focusing on meaningful, manageable changes that align with your goals and your life.
