About Megan

Hello there! My name is Megan and I am so excited to get to know you. I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona where I completed my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arizona, then moved to Flagstaff and completed a Masters Degree in Public Health and Nutrition, and now reside in beautiful Sedona Arizona. I have a background working in outpatient nutrition both in clinical and therapeutic settings, and in recent years have focused on working with folks struggling with eating disorders in outpatient nutrition therapy. My current specialties and areas of expertise include eating disorders, disordered eating, kidney health, and endocrine disorders. I'm especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals with creative, individualized care. I practice from a weight-neutral, Health At Every SizeĀ® approach to help people make peace with food and their bodies—so they can focus on what brings them joy.

Approach to care

I practice from a weight-neutral, Health At Every SizeĀ® approach, and believe that guilt and shame have no place in the kitchen, let alone your life. I hope to create safe, judgement-free space where you feel comfortable being open about your struggles so we can work together to set goals that you're actually excited to work on! I believe that eating should be an enjoyable part of life and want to meet you where you're at to create a personalized plans that fits your lifestyle, budget, preferences, and culture. This is a safe space; I welcome all and am LGBTQ+ affirming.

Your first session with Megan

We will spend the first session getting to know each other- I want to make you feel at ease so please, do not be nervous at all! We will review your medical and nutritional history, any recent lab work, lifestyle factors, and typical eating patterns as well as go over your short and long term goals for nutrition counseling.

Location

šŸ“ Sedona, Arizona

Education

Bachelors Degree in Nutrition Science from the University of Arizona; Master of Public Health and Nutrition from Northern Arizona University

Hobbies

Outside of work, you can find me doing anything creative, whether that be trying a new craft project, experimenting with cooking and baking recipes in my kitchen, or working on a design project for my home. Most of my free time right now is devoted to working on renovating my home with husband which we are doing totally on our own! I live in Sedona Arizona, so you can also find me hiking among the red rocks with my rescue pup Finn, then coming home to snuggle with him and read a good book. I also love to travel and at least twice a year can be found planning a trip with my sister to either a Disney Park, or to a tropical location where we can free dive with marine wildlife.
