About Meghan
Hey! I'm Meghan. I am an RDN & LDN with a variety of experience in Clinical nutrition and 1:1 nutrition counseling with a specialty in weight management, general health, and healthy relationship with food. For the past several years, I have committed myself to successfully helping clients achieve their health goals through nutrition counseling. Also, along side my husband, I have helped build our Outdoor cooking company, Food for Adventures, with a focus on outdoor education in Asheville, NC. I am excited to have the opportunity to be able to combine my passions for nutrition, education, & meeting new people to help clients on their journey to a happier and healthier version of themselves.
Approach to care
My approach to care is personalized to you, with a focus on evidence based nutrition therapy & intuitive eating. My goal is to create a friendly & non-judgmental environment so you feel comfortable in allowing me to help you work through the challenges you face. Changing habits is hard, so I lead with compassion, as I think it's important to note how all our different walks of life impact our habits. When working together my goal is to be your biggest advocate, to help guide you in understanding & improving your relationship with food, to ditch dieting & be able to trust yourself to make healthy choices without giving up the things you love, as well as helping improve overall well-being.
Your first session with Meghan
In our first session together, it is going to be really getting to know one another, I want you to feel comfortable and at ease knowing I am here for you and your cause. In general, we will discuss your overall goals and what brings you here, as well as specifics on your daily routine as it relates to work schedule, family life, eating habits, activity, hobbies, as well as dissecting what you feel is or has been your biggest barriers to change. We will then develop an individualized plan that focuses on making gradual, realistic, and positive lifestyle changes that respect where your at in your readiness to change as well as your capacity to makes these changes.
