About Melanie
Hi, I’m Melanie, a Registered Dietitian in Traverse City, Michigan, with an MS in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Leadership. I’ve worked in community health, where I learned to meet people where they are and translate science into practical, sustainable steps. I’m proud to bring my RDN credential to each session and to help clients navigate food, health, and daily choices with honesty and warmth.
Approach to care
HAES guides my practice: health is not a number on a scale, and lasting change comes from sustainable habits rather than quick fixes. I blend evidence-based science with an empathetic, warm approach so you feel heard and supported. We’ll explore what works for you, and together we’ll set clear, doable steps and build a plan that aligns with your values. Education and collaboration lead to lasting wellbeing.
Your first session with Melanie
Our first appointment is a calm, collaborative conversation. We’ll review your medical history, lab work or biometrics, and your relationship with food, and we’ll talk about your goals in a judgment-free space. You don’t need to have everything figured out yet; together we’ll outline a realistic path forward and one to two achievable steps to start. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
