About Melia

Hi! I’m Melia — like “Amelia,” just without the A 😊 You can call me Millie if that’s easier. I’ve been a dietitian for about 3 years, but honestly, nutrition has always been my favorite subject for as long as I can remember. I’ve worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings and have supported adults of all ages, including geriatric clients, with a wide range of health goals. I focus on overall health, weight loss and realistic changes, and I’m here to help you make healthier choices while building a better mindset and a more positive relationship with yourself.

Approach to care

My approach is very grounded and realistic, and it’s all about you. I want to understand your story and your “why” so we can get to what’s really going on — not just put a band-aid on symptoms. I know progress isn’t about being perfect, and working on yourself is a long-term thing (and that’s totally okay). When we work together, we’ll focus on changes that actually feel doable, not quick fixes (like a crash diet!). I like to meet weekly for the first month or two — think of it like learning to ride a bike with training wheels! At first, the extra support helps you build balance and confidence. As things start to feel easier and more natural, the training wheels come off. We can meet less often because you’ll have the tools and confidence to navigate things on your own. I’ll be here as both your nutrition guide and your accountability partner, helping you build the tools you need to keep moving forward in a way that fits your real life — one step (pedal) at a time.

Your first session with Melia

In our first couple of sessions, my top priority is getting to know you! We’ll start by building a strong foundation through open conversation, trust, and teamwork so we can make sure we’re a great fit. I’ll ask about your day-to-day routines, interests, what motivates you, your social life, and your health goals — and we’ll go through any onboarding paperwork and questions together. My goal is to truly understand your story so I can take a personalized, holistic approach in our future sessions, one that fits your lifestyle and supports what matters most to you. I’m so excited to work together — let’s do this! 🎉
