About Melissa
Melissa is a compassionate dietitian excited to help you in your health journey! Her 8 years' experience include work in both community and clinical settings. She is knowledgeable in a variety of nutrition topics, but her main specialties are diabetes, PCOS, endometriosis, celiac disease, IBS, food allergies, and other gut-related conditions. With nearly 20 years' experience living with celiac disease, she understands firsthand how tricky it can be to manage certain diets. She has certificate of trainings in gluten-related disorders, IBS and the Low FODMAP diet, and pediatric food allergies. She is also a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES).

Melissa offers a kind and empathetic approach to nutrition management and education, recognizing that everyone comes from different experiences and backgrounds. She promises to listen to your concerns to better understand where you are coming from and how she can best help you. Your health concerns are valid, and she promises to listen and help you as best as she can. Her goal is to help educate and guide you on your journey to better health. Your first session with Melissa
In your first session with Melissa, expect to be greeted with a warm smile and friendly attitude. She will ask you questions about your medical history, relevant labs, lifestyle and eating habits. No need to worry about judgement - she is just trying to better understand your background and habits so that she can best help you! After doing a full nutrition assessment, she will provide some education and help you set 1-3 small, realistic goals. Nutrition and the path to better health is a journey and patients are most successful when they meet for regular follow-ups.
