About Melissa
Hello! I am a Registered Dietitian who has worked in many areas of the field of nutrition and dietetics in my 30+ year career. I now have a plant-based food blog and also teach at a college. I enjoy helping people with many conditions in adjusting their food choices for improved health and well-being.
Approach to care
I try to understand clients' food preferences, lifestyles, culture, schedule, and goals and be able to work with them to develop plans that work with their lives. I don't believe in short-term diets or trying something so strict that you are denying yourself the pleasure of food, and then not wanting to continue eating this way long-term. I'm into cooking so I can help you find ways to have more plant foods and make them taste great - but can certainly help with choices for eating out, take-out, convenience foods, and travel too.
Your first session with Melissa
We will talk and get to know one another, discuss your questions, and work on what is at the foremost of your concerns. We will decide on a realistic action plan to help you get started with your nutritious dietary pattern to help meet your goals. I understand that behavior change is not necessarily easy, and am here to support your efforts.
