About Melissa
Hello! I have been a Registered Dietitian in Texas for over 15 years, working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. I've worked in multiple healthcare spaces including hospitals, dialysis clinics, behavioral health, outpatient offices and telehealth. I have seen the impact nutrition can have on various populations, working with many disease states and age groups. I love encouraging others to improve their health and nutrition!
Approach to care
I take a non-judgmental, empathetic approach to working with you and understand there are many reasons behind our food choices. I combine my strong clinical background with counseling experience to achieve a holistic approach to care. There is no "one size fits all" approach and I believe all foods can fit into a balanced, healthy lifestyle. Together we can investigate the root cause of any issues you are facing and then collaborate to find solutions that weave seamlessly into your routine.
Your first session with Melissa
In our first session, we will get to know each other as I discover your medical history and background. We will discuss your history with food, nutrition, your health and body. This will help to understand what your goals are moving forward and we will get an overview of what is most important to focus on, both in the short and long term.
