About Melissa
I have been a registered dietitian for the past 20 years and have worked with a variety of clients over the years - breastfeeding moms, people suffering from GI issues, and many more! Most recently I have been focusing on women's health, particularly those who are going through perimenopause.
Approach to care
Perimenopause can feel so out of your control β the night sweats, trouble sleeping, weight gain, bloating - however, youβre experiencing this stage of life. I help you with what is in your control β what you eat, how much movement you get in a day, what time you go to bed, and how much alcohol you drink. All of these factors affect how you feel while going through perimenopause! My goal is not to have you count calories and watch the scale, but rather help you have more energy, improve any tummy troubles, and enjoy life more during this season of life. I will be there to support you through the ups and downs of your health journey to feeling better!
Your first session with Melissa
During our first session, I will get to know you β what you enjoy eating, how you enjoy moving, your medical history, G.I. issues, etc. We'll end our session with a few small, sustainable changes that you would like to work on between our next session. My goal is to help you make lasting changes to improve your health!
