About Melissa
I am Melissa Nyweide, RD, LDN, and I have been practicing Dietetics for more than 30 years. My professional focus is on weight management, lifestyle modification, and sustainable behavior change, and I am committed to helping each client achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in their health. My work is deeply informed by my own personal health journey. I have experienced challenges with weight, Prediabetes, Gestational Diabetes, and lipid management, and through intentional nutrition changes, weight loss, and lifestyle adjustments, I have been able to successfully manage all of these areas. Because of this, when I say that I am âdoing it right along with you,â I truly mean it. I understand the process not only as a clinician, but as someone who has lived it.
Approach to care
My approach is personalized, collaborative, and clientâcentered. During our first appointment, I take the time to get to know you, your history, and the circumstances that brought you to seek support. Together, we identify what matters most to you, clarify your âwhy,â and develop a realistic, individualized plan to help you reach your goals. I have supported many clients through significant health transformations, including individuals who have lost more than 100 pounds, and I always strive to use the healthiest and most natural strategies based on each clientâs needs. I believe strongly in teamwork, ongoing support, and making thoughtful adjustments as we move through your journey toward better health and an improved lifestyle.
Your first session with Melissa
Our first session is all about you. Iâll ask questions to understand your history, your circumstances, and what brought you to this moment. From there, weâll identify: (1) What matters most to you, (2) Your âwhyâ, (3) The goals you want to achieve, (4) A realistic, step-by-step plan to get there. Iâve helped many clients lose over 100 pounds, and I always focus on the healthiest, most natural approach based on each personâs needs.
