About Mereen

I am a dedicated Dietitian with a passion for food, nutrition and people! Growing up as an Indian American in the gastronomic city of Houston, cooking and sharing meals has always been a central part of life. My diverse education along with my experience in clinical research, clinical care, retail dietetics and private practice, allows me to provide medical nutrition therapy regarding a wide range of health concerns, including metabolic disorders, heart health, women’s health, disordered eating and Intuitive/Mindful Eating.

Approach to care

I tailor my approach to provide personalized nutrition care that is sustainable for each individual, ensuring that their unique needs and lifestyle are always taken into account. I strive to center my sessions on evidence-based nutrition, while fostering a healthy relationship with food and your body. I understand that food means many things to many people and aim to educate and empower my clients with practical, long-term strategies that aren’t restrictive or based on nutrition misinformation. With me by your side, you will not be alone on your journey to a healthier and happier you, nor fall into the traps of toxic diet culture!

Your first session with Mereen

Our first session together will focus on us getting to know each other better so I can understand where you are to help you get to where you’re going! My priority is to make sure you feel safe and comfortable to share your nutrition concerns and this includes discussing your medical history, diet history, lifestyle, background eating behaviors/habits and the goals you envision. By understanding you, I am able to provide you with individualized education, recommendations and set goals that are measurable, achievable, and sustainable for you! I am looking forward to getting to know you and am excited to work together to help you reach your health and wellness goals!
