About Michael

Hi! My name is Michael, and I’m a Registered Dietitian with a Ph.D. in Human Nutrition and a background in both athletics and research. I’ve worked with college athletes at Baylor University and Navy SEALS in Virginia Beach, so I understand how to fuel the body for performance, recovery, and overall health. You can be assured when working with me that I rely on science-backed strategies, but I always make them practical and personalized. My approach is simple: take the latest nutrition and exercise research and turn it into easy, realistic steps that fit your lifestyle. Whether your goal is improving performance, managing weight, or just feeling better day to day, I focus on sustainable changes that last.

Approach to care

When we work together, you can expect a supportive and collaborative style. I’ll meet you where you are, explain the “why” behind each recommendation, and help you feel confident in your choices. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" model of nutrition. You are unique, and how we approach your nutrition and health goals will be too. My objective is not just to give you a plan, it’s to give you the tools and knowledge to succeed long term.

Your first session with Michael

The first time we meet, you can expect a lot of getting to know one another and having a great conversation. I genuinely love meeting new people, but also believe having a foundation of trust and respect is crucial to the success of our relationship. Next, we can focus on your health, diet and exercise history, and any other pressing concerns or questions you might have along the way. Lastly, we will discuss your health goals, both short-term and long-term, and collaborate on various ways I can help you accomplish them. We will wrap up by setting small goals to accomplish during your first week.
