About Michele
Hi, I'm Michele, a Registered Dietitian and culinary-nutrition teacher, although, I think of myself as a Food Enjoyment Activist. Here's why: you deserve to feel good about eatingâwithout guilt, judgment or rigid rules around your food choices. Iâve also seen a lot of food fads, diets and misinformation that make eating well feel unnecessarily complicated. I can reduce that noise by sharing reliable information and practical ways to build habits that support your health and nutrition goals. For nearly 20 years, I've worked with people in all kinds of settings--from health centers and hospitals to employee wellness programs, medical schools and culinary colleges--helping individuals create healthy changes that stick (and even have fun doing it.)
Approach to care
Your relationship with food is uniquely yours. Itâs shaped by your health needs, lifestyle, taste preferences, cultural background, and life experiences. I'm here to listen and understand what matters to you to and tailor solutions to meet your health goals. Together, we'll identify practical healthy habits and routines that fit your life and how to adapt when your plans get disrupted. I don't believe in relying on willpower; instead, we'll build systems and routines that make healthy choices and eating feel easier and more enjoyable.
Your first session with Michele
In our first session, we'll focus on youâyour health concerns, your goals, and what's really motivating you to make changes right now. I'll ask about what's worked for you in the past and what hasn't. We'll talk about the challenges you're facing or worried about. I'm curious about your eating habits, meal routines, food preferences, and how you feel about cooking or food prep. By the end of our time together, we'll have identified some meaningful first steps that actually feel doable and interesting to you, but not overwhelming. Then we'll schedule your follow-up and you'll leave with a clear sense of where we're headed.
